Working Principle of Ointment Manufacturing Plant

  • Hydrophilic Ingredient Mixing: First, water-soluble ingredients are weighed and added to the water phase vessel. Water is then introduced, and a propeller stirrer ensures proper mixing. If needed, gentle heat is applied through a jacket to further disperse the ingredients.
  • Wax Phase Mixing: In a separate vessel, oily or waxy components are mechanically mixed. Then, heat is applied to melt these ingredients, followed by additional stirring for a uniform mixture.
  • Filtration and Transfer: Both the water phase and wax phase mixtures are then filtered to remove impurities. A vacuum system efficiently transfers these filtered liquids to the manufacturing vessel.
  • Homogenization: A mixer with high-speed beaters and agitators thoroughly combines the water and oil phases in the manufacturing vessel. This high-shear mixing ensures a homogenous and well-emulsified ointment.
  • Storage and Filling: The finished ointment is transferred to a mobile storage vessel, which is then transported to the filling machine. Pre-determined amounts of ointment are filled into empty tubes, and these tubes are sealed to prevent leakage and contamination.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: Finally, all the vessels used throughout the process are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, readying them for the next batch of ingredients.
